Defining a classic car often depends on one's personal experience, visual preference and desirability. Growing up in the 1970's and 80's I was drawn to the lines and curves of the European sports cars seen in movies and races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. From the iconic Porsche 911, Ford GT 350, BMW 3.0 CSL and the Ferrari's of that time was born a great passion for performance, quality and originality that carried straight into the 1980's.

The 1980's saw performance European vehicles rise to a new level and become somewhat more attainable by the average american family. Performance figures and styling of cars such as the BMW E24 M6 arguably eclipsed anything north america offered at that time. The demand for these cars opened the door for the grey market to import european spec vehicles to satisfy the market.
